THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED THE LYMINGTON COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS SWITCH ON PARADE AND FIREWORKS

The Christmas Lights project takes over 450 people hours of work each year. The volunteers are all part of Lymington Foundation Friends of Lymington Network. There are over 10,000 lights as part of the display bringing pleasure and happiness to everyone for over five weeks. There were over 10,000 people watching the parade, switch on and fireworks. Each string of LED lights uses 90% less power than a normal bulb and are three times brighter.

So many have helped, we are especially grateful to the following......

Those magnificent and handsome Firemen of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (Lymington New Forest South Group) for such a fun display and giving up their time to help with the lights. Graham Butler for providing the fabulous fireworks. Adrian of Storm Electrical, Chainsaw Bob. Joe and the team of SFX Hire for the Light Show, PA and flame show. Our vicar Peter for the beautiful Church. Rex and those magnificent Bell-Ringers. Lymington Lights Committee – no lights without you Guys! David, Ian, Patrick, Tony and Marc. The Hampshire Constabulary New Forest South Sector and all their support. Wilts & Dorset Bus Company and all their staff, especially the drivers. Marks & Spencer plc - Matt and all his staff for warming us up afterwards. Caldwells for the Father Christmas’s rescue. The Marshalls from the Lions Clubs
of Lymington
and the Rotary Club of Lymington. The Lymington Netball Club ladies. James, Stuart and Owen of Yachtmail, Chris at The Ship Inn and Graham & Daphne – thank you for the trees on the Quay and the pretty lights. In the Parade, The Royal British Legion Lymington, Lymington Coastguard, Lymington Amature Rowing Club, Young Sailors, SK8Lymo.com, the World record Steam Car Team and of course Father Christmas!

It wouldn’t have happened without the support given and we hope the continued donations coming in may be sufficient to put the lights on next year. A further list will be published to include further donations.
