From: Lymington Community Christmas
THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED THE LYMINGTON COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS SWITCH ON PARADE AND FIREWORKS
The Christmas Lights project takes over 450 people hours of work each year. The volunteers are all part of Lymington Foundation Friends of Lymington Network. There are over 10,000 lights as part of the display bringing pleasure and happiness to everyone for over five weeks. There were over 10,000 people watching the parade, switch on and fireworks. Each string of LED lights uses 90% less power than a normal bulb and are three times brighter. So many have helped, we are especially grateful to the following......
of Lymington and the Rotary Club of Lymington. The Lymington Netball Club ladies. James, Stuart and Owen of Yachtmail, Chris at The Ship Inn and Graham & Daphne – thank you for the trees on the Quay and the pretty lights. In the Parade, The Royal British Legion Lymington, Lymington Coastguard, Lymington Amature Rowing Club, Young Sailors, SK8Lymo.com, the World record Steam Car Team and of course Father Christmas!
It wouldn’t have happened without the support given and we hope the continued donations coming in may be sufficient to put the lights on next year. A further list will be published to include further donations.
