Janet Richards is married and has lived in the village of Martin, near Fordingbridge, for 14 years. She works for Futurefarms, a local food co-operative and community farm, the aim of which is to grow food in the parish of Martin for sale to the people who live there. She was one of its founder members and is now an employee and director of the company. She is also currently involved with setting up a community-run village shop in Martin.
